Mariela Trevino is an incoming Senior at The University of Illinois at Chicago. She is majoring in Communications and minoring in Political Science. Mariela’s career interests include working in the fashion industry, politics and environmental science. Her flexible major and aspirations in creating a career in marketing and advertising/public relations, allow her to explore all of her eclectic career goals. Some of the marketing techniques she is most excited about are marketing campaigns, branding, advertising and of course, working closely with clients.
One of Mariela’s mantras she lives by is from the greatly esteemed author, Paulo Coelho. “When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you achieve it”. In her free time, you can find Mariela reading a Jane Austen novel, watching PBS Masterpiece shows on Sunday’s, spending quality time with family, daydreaming about Paris, listening to Frank Sinatra, making sushi and taking her miniature chihuahua on nature walks.
