At Worldly Strategies we pride ourselves on results-driven, integrated marketing. Therefore, when we create campaigns we want them to be cost effective and measurable. Below you will see this philosophy in action. Read on for an email marketing case study featuring The Rock And Roll Detective.
The Rock And Roll Detective is a historical consultant and also an author. The Rock And Roll Detective wrote a book called The Beatle Who Vanished that came out January 2013.
The goal of the email campaign was to gain more website visits and increase the number of book sales.
Every 2 to 4 weeks The Rock And Roll Detective would send out an email newsletter. The email list was grown by adding a form to a landing page and driving traffic to the form through Google Adwords and Social Media outlets. Between January 2013 and March 2013 The Rock And Roll Detective sent out 4 email newsletters.
The newsletters sent 461 visitors to The Beatle Who Vanished website and contributed to over 24 book sales worth $478 in revenue (This figure only includes books bought through PayPal. There were additional sales through Amazon.com that contributed to The Beatle Who Vanished becoming an Amazon.com Best-Selling Book.). That is a 5.2% conversion rate!
